We all know that as we get older, our skin starts to age… But why should we sit back and let it take this course? There are many things we can do (from early on) to slow down the aging process and keep us looking younger for longer!
Free Radicals, Wrinkles and Oxidation- the technical bit
The process of oxidation is caused by free radical destruction. This is when free radicals start to damage parts of the cells in our bodies, for example, our DNA, proteins, tissues. When this happens we start to develop lines, dehydration, loss of elasticity and wrinkles.
How To Overcome Free Radical Damage
One vitamin which is known to slow down free radical damage is vitamin E. It is an antioxidant which reacts with free radicals to disable their production and stop them reacting with our body’s cells.
Get More Vitamin E
A great way to start incorporating more vitamin E is in our diets, it can be found in a number of foods including almonds and swiss chard and has many benefits which support the body. Some of these include; protecting the heart, eyes and strengthens our natural immune system against illness and infections.
Another way to incorporate vitamin E is in the products we apply to our skin. Applying vitamin E directly to the face will react with free radicals and therefore disable any further damage which causes us to have more wrinkles and lines in the future. We have added vitamin E into our Night Serum. We’ve also added Neroli to our serum which is a wonderful stimulant for healthy new cells, so whilst your skin is combatting aging it will also start to create new cells helping us to look more youthful. Applied once a day before bed, the Night Serum will give your skin time to rejuvenate and it’s really never too early to start using vitamin E or anti-aging products so we recommend that women of all ages start hydrating their skin well to prevent wrinkles in the future.
